The exhibition outlined the traces of a Chinese naval officer whose diary was discovered from an apartment in Sai Wan shortly before it would be demolished in 2015. Showcasing a journey of 24 Chinese naval officers, the traveling exhibition features a modular framework that is reusable at various exhibit venues.
Each module consists of a collapsible T-frame and a hung plywood panel supported by tension cables. The suspended piece exemplifies the lightness of wood, creating a porous and connected exhibition space.
Working with retractable details and modular construction, the exhibit can be rapidly retracted, transported and redeployed at different locations.
